Abstract
In this letter, based on symbolic computation soft Maple, we study the rational formal solutions of differential-difference equations by using a generalized ansätz. The hybrid lattice equation is chosen to illustrate our algorithm. As a result, many explicit exact solutions, which contain new solitary wave solutions and periodic wave solutions, are obtained.
