Abstract
We present a new method to compute two-dimensional linear interfacial motion, which is governed by the unsteady Stokes equations together with linearized interfacial conditions. The method achieves second-order accuracy for both the velocity and pressure, in both fluids. The order of accuracy is analytically verified by performing a normal mode analysis, and numerically confirmed through a computational experiment.
