Abstract

We discuss a better higher-order finite difference algorithm for solving dynamic heat and moisture transport equations of fabric. The algorithm is fourth-order accurate in spatial dimensions and second-order in time derivatives. We use central-difference operator for the second space derivatives in the 2D model. It is similar to that used in the standard second-order algorithms, such as the Crank–Nicolson algorithm. Numerical simulation results agree with the real case.
