Abstract
Non-polynomial spline is used for the numerical solutions of a system of fourth-order boundary value problems associated with obstacle, unilateral and contact problems. In addition to the boundary conditions corresponding to the second derivatives, the boundary conditions corresponding to the first derivatives are also considered. Two examples (one for each case of boundary conditions) are considered for the numerical illustration of the method developed. It has been observed that the method developed in this paper is better than the other collocation, finite difference and spline methods.
