Abstract
This paper describes multigrid algorithms for solving multigroup neutron transport equations. Local mode analysis of multilevel is performed for transport problems, and numerical Fourier analysis is carried out to study the smoothing and convergence properties of the multigrid algorithms for neutron diffusion and general PN approximate case respectively. Numerical test calculations validate the theoretical predictions.
