Abstract
The Adomian decomposition method is a creative and effective method for exactly solving functional equations of various kinds. In this paper, the principle of the decomposition method is described, and its restrictions are discussed. Then an improvement is proposed, which overcomes the restrictions and complements the ability of the Adomian decomposition method. Some concrete examples are also studied to illustrate the validity of the improvement.
