Abstract
In this paper we present a fast and accurate numerical scheme for the solution of a system of fourth-order boundary value problems associated with obstacle, unilateral and contact problems. The decomposition method and a modified form of this method are applied to construct the numerical solutions. The new approach provides the solution in the form of a rapidly convergent series with easily computable components and not at grid points. The scheme is tested on two problems. The results demonstrate reliability and efficiency of the algorithm developed.
