Abstract
We will use the arclength continuation method to compute certain singular points for index-1 DAEs. Backward difference method will be employed to descretize the problem. We will show that the resulting numerical iterative matrix is nonsingular in the presence of the singularity. Some numerical examples will be given to show the efficiency of the resulting augmented system.
