Abstract
In this paper, we present the convergence analysis for some modified SOR-type iterative method for solving linear systems and provide a comparison of spectral radius among the SOR iterative method and these modified methods. Comparison results and the numerical example show that the rate of convergence of the Gauss–Seidel method is faster than the rate of convergence of the SOR iterative method.
