Abstract

The heat transfer characteristics of fluid flow in micro-channel are studied by the lattices-Boltzmann method. A nine-velocity model and an internal energy distribution model are used to obtain the mass, momentum and temperature distributions in micro-channel flow. We increased the Knudsen number, the flow became slip flow, and discussed the effects of Knudsen number on the flow behavior and heat transfer. We obtained solution of the slip velocity on wall and compared to other theoretical results. Present work used the internal energy thermal model to predict the temperature distribution in micro-channel flow. The temperature jump on wall increase with increasing Knudsen number.
