Abstract
The Filippov systems theory is applied to selected problems from biology and chemical engineering. In particular, we explore (a) new formulation of Bazykin’s ecological model, (b) a predator–prey model with human intervention, (c) an ideal closed gas–liquid system including DAE formulation of the system with a chemical reaction. We illustrate the theory by simulations of the behavior of the particular systems.
