Abstract

In this paper a collocation procedure is developed for a linear Volterra integral equation of the second kind by using the Sinc basis functions. The approximate solutions are given so that the auxiliary basis functions satisfy the four different end conditions. It is shown that the Sinc procedure converges to the solution at an exponential rate of O(e-kN). Numerical results are included to confirm the efficiency and accuracy of the method.
