Abstract
In this work, the reliable variational iteration method is used to determine rational solutions for the KdV, the KK(2,2), the Burgers, and the cubic Boussinesq equations. The study highlights the efficiency of the method and its dependence on the Lagrange multiplier. Rational solutions are obtained directly in a straightforward manner.
