Abstract
An overdetermined initial–boundary value problem for a parabolic equation is considered. Stable difference schemes of first and second orders of accuracy are presented for the approximate solution of this problem. Stability estimates for the solution of these difference schemes are obtained. Numerical techniques are developed and algorithms are tested on an example.
