Abstract
Fulleroids are cubic convex polyhedra with faces of size 5 or greater. They are suitable models of carbon molecules. They can be represented by 3-connected cubic planar graphs. Sufficient and necessary conditions for the existence of fulleroids exhibiting dihedral symmetry and with only pentagonal and n-gonal faces depending on the number n are presented.
