Abstract
We show that the box complex of a chordal graph is homotopy equivalent to a wedge of spheres. This complements the result that in general the box complex of a graph can be any free Z2Z2-complex up to homotopy. The tools used to study the homotopy types of box complexes of chordal graphs might be of independent interest.
