Abstract
We investigate connected partitions of continua into compacta. In particular, we consider continua with property that every connected partition into compacta is compact. We characterize graphs which have this property as the trees and the simple closed curve. Dendrites are shown to have the property. An example of a nonlocally connected continuum with the property is also given.
