Abstract
This paper presents a detailed analysis of the asymptotic expansion, in terms of Bessel functions, for some eigenfunctions of a singular second-order differential operator with matrix coefficients. In application, we recover the asymptotic behavior of the associated Harish-Chandra function and interesting approximations at infinity of the related spectral function and scattering matrix.
