Abstract
The article is about assessing the quality of earth structures in terms of possibilities of using alternative methods. The contribution is focused on the possibility of using geogauge Humboldt H-4140 and Clegg CIST 882 for quality control of earth structures. These methods are beneficial to engineering practice with respect to speed and smart testing. Methods described in the article are not yet included in the Slovak technical standards and their application is very rare, as they are not verified in practice yet.
