Abstract
Soil samples and aspen bark in the environs of Tomsk (Western Siberia) were studied in order to determine the concentration of atmospheric pollutants Pb, Cu, Zn and Cd. The results of the study indicated the absence of long-term entry of deposited heavy metals into the environment (soil) and possible zinc-cadmium pollution of a short duration (according to the study of the bark of tree vegetation).
