Abstract
► Max. and min. MS lost occurred in pure water and 1 M CaCl2 with 15.47% and 1.42%, respectively. ► MS decreased with 13.70%, 11.22%, and 10.28% in 4 M, 3 M and 1 M NaCl respectively. ► The correlation coefficient between ultrasound velocity and MS is 0.67. ► The correlation coefficient between ultrasound velocity and MS is − 0.83 in pure water. ► The correlation coefficients between V, flow, ultrasound velocity and MS are negative.
