Abstract
⺠A paleomagnetic study is carried out from Upper Cretaceous and Middle Eocene rocks in the Eastern Pontides. ⺠The paleomagnetic declinations which are in counterclockwise sense are consistent with the shape of an oroclinal bending existing in the Eastern Pontides. ⺠The shape of the oroclinal bending is interpretated as a result of the collision between the Arabia and Eurasia.
