Abstract
⺠Two types of scratch circles occur in Palaeocene turbidites of the Pagliaro Formation. ⺠They are produced by broken tests of the large tubular foraminifer Bathysiphon. ⺠Tests stood vertically in life position in mud but current broken them. ⺠Broken but articulated tests were rotated by current and scratched the sea floor.
