Abstract
⺠The Miocene Nullarbor Limestone is composed of subtropical skeletal carbonates. ⺠Deposition occurred in shallow marine environments of a broad epeiric platform/ramp. ⺠Paleoenvironments included seagrass banks, rhodolith gravels and open seafloors. ⺠This unit likely represents back-reef facies of a proposed Miocene barrier reef. ⺠Including the reef, this is the largest Miocene carbonate system ever described.
