Abstract
⺠Temperature data from all the available oil and water wells in Israel are analyzed ⺠The average heat flux in Israel, 40-45 mW/m2, is compatible with deep seismicity ⺠Heat flux anomalies are attributed to groundwater flow or young magmatic activity. ⺠Elevated heat flux in the south reflects the opening of the Red Sea.
