Abstract
⺠The largest metagranitoid suite in the Cycladic Blueschist unit was dated. ⺠U-Pb zircon dating yielded Late Triassic (234-214 Ma) ages of protolith intrusion. ⺠Geochemistry reveals an A-type affinity for the protolith of metagranitoid rocks. ⺠Late Triassic magmatism was possibly related to an anorogenic rift setting. ⺠Subsequent Alpine east-directed shearing took place at 450-500 °C and 65 + 15/â 10 MPa.
