Abstract
⺠Metagranitoids in Pentelikon, Attic Cycladic Belt, Attica crystallised in successive pulses at 255 ± 3 Ma and 246 ± 2 Ma. ⺠SHRIMP zircon ages and CL-characteristics reveal Permo-Triassic magmatic activity and Hercynian inheritance. ⺠SHRIMP zircon data and published work favour a rift setting for metagranitoids in Pentelikon. ⺠Opposite to previous views, the lower unit of Attica belongs to the Cycladic Blueschist Unit.
