Abstract
⺠Properly conditioned stacking velocities are useful for lithology interpretation. ⺠Water-depth adjustment to velocities is needed for meaningful interpretation. ⺠Velocities as functions of pressure are useful to interpret lihology offshore. ⺠DDRS/SDRS may not be predominantly volcanic features as earlier thought. ⺠Substantial presence of sediments in upper DDRS/SDRS is possible.
