Abstract
⺠We calculated the velocity and stress fields of the studied region. ⺠We numerically simulated the rupture process of the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake. ⺠The movement and Coulomb failure stress (CFS) changes on boundary faults in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau were calculated. ⺠The maximum deviation reaches 1.5 m on Wenchuan seismogenic fault. ⺠The maximum change of CFS reaches about 0.2 MPa at both ends of the Wenchuan seismogenic fault.
