Abstract
âºTwo sets of fractures on fold limbs occurred during one folding event but are not contemporaneous. âºNumerical simulations show that the local Ï1 remains parallel to the far field Ï1. âºThe local Ï1 rotates by almost 90° with respect to bedding. âºThe total strain is the addition of two orthogonal and successive events.
