Abstract
⺠High-precision ages of W-Sn ores and related granites are Late Jurassic with a peak at 150 to 160 Ma in southern Jiangxi. ⺠There is none, or only slight (1-6 Ma), time difference between W-Sn mineralization and parent granite crystallization. ⺠Quite low Re contents in Molybdenites suggest continental crustal provenance of the ore metals in tungsten deposits. ⺠The major W-Sn metallogenesis in southern Jiangxi took place in Jurassic intraplate extensional setting.
