Abstract
⺠We investigated diel changes in a parcel of agricultural drainage water. ⺠Algal pigments and nutrients did not exhibit diel patterns in the parcel of water. ⺠Algal pigments increased during daylight hours and remained constant at night. ⺠Algal growth occurred despite limiting phosphate concentrations.
