Abstract
ⶠK/La2O3 catalyst interaction with CO2 strongly depends on the previous treatment. ⶠExposure of this catalyst to NO + O2 leads to the nitration of the surface. ⶠThe nitrated catalyst is less basic than the hydroxylated catalyst. ⶠK/La2O3 is stable in an atmosphere that contains CO2 + NO + O2 + H2O, up to 400 °C. ⶠAt 800 °C, the catalyst deactivates very fast due to K volatilization.
