Abstract
►The finer the grain size of the granular flow, the larger is its potential mobility. ►The larger the volume of the granular flow, the larger is its potential mobility. ►The potential mobility of the centre of mass is measured at the grain scale. ►The actual mobility of the centre of mass is affected also by the slope geometry. ►Slope geometry can counteract the potential mobility.
