Abstract
âºWe determined collapse condition of eruption column using 3-D numerical simulations. ⺠Type of collapse at the collapse condition depends on the temperature of ejecta. ⺠Low-temperature cloud collapses from jet structure at the collapse condition. ⺠High-temperature cloud collapses from fountain structure at the collapse condition. ⺠Shock wave structures inside the fountain suppress the entrainment of ambient air.
