Abstract
⺠The heat radiated by Stromboli is subdivided in two main regimes, strombolian and effusive. ⺠A threshold of ~ 50 MW represents the transition between the two regimes. ⺠Within the strombolian regime the radiative power is controlled by the magma level within the conduit. ⺠Several monthly fluctuations of the magma level occurred between 2000 and 2011. ⺠An increase in the thermal output is evident since 2008.
