Abstract
⺠The Canaã area of the Carajás Province, Amazonian craton, is a Mesoarchean to Neoarchean terranes. ⺠The Archean granites contrast by large variations of Sr/Y, (La/Yb)N and Eu/Eu* ratios. ⺠The high Sr/Y granite derived from melting of a basaltic or lower crustal source. ⺠The variation of the Sr/Y, (La/Yb)N and Eu/Eu* ratios of the Archean granites is emphasized. ⺠The processes here discussed could be useful for the understanding of other Archean granites.
