Abstract
⺠Seismic and bathymetric data are presented from the northern KwaZulu-Natal continental margin. ⺠Delivery of sediment to the shelf edge-wedge drives submarine canyon development. ⺠Sediment starvation has ameliorated more elaborate incision episodes.
