Abstract
⺠Bulk and sand fraction properties of surface sediments are mapped along the slope off Mozambique. ⺠Textural, geochemical, and micropaleontological indices are dominated by the Zambezi River. ⺠Transects of sediment cores show that discharge routes and modes are related to sea level. ⺠Sediment compositional data are essential to understand the river-margin sedimentary system.
