Abstract
► The seafloor morphology of the open-marine environment of Hartogbukta, eastern Svalbard, is examined. ► Four ice-flow episodes of the drainage basins adjacent to Hartogbukta are identified. ► An ice sheet extended over Hartogbukta during the late Weichselian, flowing ESE. ► The drainage basins adjacent to Hartogbukta surged repeatedly during the Holocene.
