Abstract
The Negra Velha Granite is a distinct unit that forms a few stocks that intruded the granitoids of the Tromaà Suite between 2076 and 2056 Ma ago. Negra Velha is an association of monzogranite and subordinate quartz-monzonite and syenogranite with an alkaline signature that shows high Rb-Sr-Ba enrichments, resembling shoshonitic associations. This granite represents the post-orogenic phase of the Rhyacian orogenesis.
