Abstract
⺠Eleven fossil woods are described from a petrified wood forest of Mizoram. ⺠This fossil assemblage is considered to be Late Miocene-Early Pliocene in age. ⺠The assemblage indicates the existence of a tropical warm and humid climate. ⺠The present study provides evidence of migration between India and southeast Asia.
