Abstract
► The results of the seismogeological study of main fault of the Tunka rift is presented. ► Dating of the paleoseismic activity along the Tunka fault during the Holocene carried out. ► Age estimation has been made for the previously unknown paleoearthquake. ► The mean recurrence period for faulting events on the central Tunka fault is 2700-3430 years.
