Abstract
⺠The water quality of Imphal and Thoubal district was good for domestic and agricultural uses. ⺠The hydrogeochemistry was influenced by kaolinite and Ca montmorillonite minerals. ⺠Natural weathering, mainly silicate weathering, was the dominant geochemical processes. ⺠Variations in groundwater quality of the study area with respect to seasons were not prominent. ⺠Overall, inherent lithology and the land use pattern governed the hydrogeochemistry of study area.
