Abstract
⺠We present an overall review on the occurrences of HP/UHP rocks reported from the northern Dabie complex (NDC) in Dabie orogen of central China. ⺠Petrological and chronological data support that at least part of the NDC experienced Triassic (â¼230 Ma) deep subduction and UHP metamorphism. ⺠Different from the central Dabie belt (CDB), the NDC was subjected to an early Cretaceous (â¼130 Ma) UHT metamorphic overprinting. ⺠Distinct peak P-T conditions may be ascribed to the absence of UHP mineral assemblages suitable for thermobarometry. ⺠Diverse P-T paths with overprinted HT/UHT stages suggest that the NDC suffered an important intracontinental reworking in the early Cretaceous.
