Abstract
⺠Mesozoic fossil wood record along a NE-China - Japan transect is rich and diversified. ⺠After the Triassic Agathoxylon and Xenoxylon were exclusive. ⺠The latitudinal displacements of their limit followed global climatic oscillations. ⺠Wood diversity gradient switched at the T/J and Albian/Cenomanian boundaries. ⺠During the Jurassic inland wood diversity was much higher than coastal one.
