Abstract
⺠Accumulation rates on a millennial timescale on the floodplain were studied. ⺠Core sediments were taken at a former channel and a natural levee on the Nobi Plain. ⺠Averaged aggradation rates at the sites were about 2-3 mm/yr. ⺠Averaged deposition rates differed greatly between the floodbasin and the levee. ⺠Rapid aggradation of the natural levee occurred on a centennial to millennial scale.
