Abstract
⺠Anisotropy and inhomogeneity of K-feldspar/mafic mineral patterns have been quantified. ⺠Mineral patterns have been recorded at high resolution over several square metres. ⺠Map-counting unveils mafic schlieren or felsic dykes not readily visible on the rock surface. ⺠MORFA unveils the mineral shape preferred orientation not visible in the field. ⺠Such fabrics represent flow/fracture structures in the crystallising magma.
