Abstract
⺠We analyze normal fault inversion in a case study in the Andes of Argentina. ⺠We model the conditions for inversion using the ReActiva software. ⺠General conditions and three particular cases are analyzed. ⺠Inversion will take place if fault planes have low coefficients of friction. ⺠Fluid overpressure or frictional-viscous behavior may also cause inversion.
