Abstract
⺠We present microstructural data from the Buckskin-Rawhide metamorphic core complex. ⺠Miocene mylonitization conditions were uniform across 35 km in the slip direction. ⺠Mylonites initiated as a subhorizontal shear zone. ⺠The mylonite shear zone was captured and exhumed by a NE-dipping detachment fault.
